For some, Fuller was the Leonardo da Vinci of the 20th century. Richard Buckminster Fuller (1895-1983) dedicated his life to finding solutions that would ensure that the world worked better for everybody. Through his thinking, he was able to anticipate some of the major crises of the 20th century surprisingly accurately.
To examine Fuller from the perspective of the reality of 2020, Espacio Fundación Telefónica in Madrid held the exhibition ‘Radical Curiosity. In the Orbit of Buckminster Fuller’, shown from November 2020 to March 2021. In order to promote this exhibition, Prodigioso Volcán designed and developed an interactive timeline in which you can see the influence that pioneer artist and architect had in many others, both coetaneos to him and also modern artist in the main five disciplines that Fuller worked in.

Education, design, experimentation, architecture and tensegrity are the five fundamental lines of work.
Their position in the timeline defines which area the artists influenced by Fuller are dedicated to.
The first screen introduces Fuller and tells the user how to interact with the timeline. In the desktop version,
you will need to drag to the right to move forward. In the mobile version, you will drag downwards.
Throughout the timeline, the different artists will appear, accompanied by an icon that reinforces their work area,
defined also by the place they occupy in the graphic.
By clicking on the icons, we will see screens like these, which include a small card of the artist along with the image of his work,
a locator map of his place of origin and a link that invites us to investigate more about them.
Last but not least, we designed these illustrations that imitate Fuller's original sketches
and that appear in the timeline, besides highlighting the advance in time.
